How to add ChatME to HTML

5 steps · a few minutes · no coding

Before you start: Paste the code just before </body> (or inside the <head>) of your pages. Works with plain HTML, React, Vue, Astro, Next.js, Laravel, Django and any hosting.

  1. 1

    Copy your install snippet

In ChatME, open “Install & share” and copy your assistant’s snippet.

  2. 2

    Open your template or layout

Edit the HTML file shared across all your pages (for example the layout, footer or index.html).

  3. 3

    Paste the snippet before </body>

Paste the code just before the closing </body> tag (the <head> also works).

  4. 4

    Push your changes

Publish or deploy your site the way you normally do.

  5. 5

    Open your site and check

Reload your page. The assistant button appears at the bottom-right. If not, clear the cache and try again.
