How to add ChatME to Squarespace

Before you start: Squarespace Code Injection is available on the Business and Commerce plans (not on Personal). If you’re on Personal, use the direct link or upgrade.

Copy your install snippet
In ChatME, open “Website” (under “Channels”) and, in “Install on your website”, copy your assistant’s snippet.

Open Code Injection
In Squarespace, go to Settings → Advanced → Code Injection.

Paste the snippet into Header
Paste the code into the “Header” field.

Save
Save your changes; it applies across your whole site automatically.

Open your site and check
Reload your page. The assistant button appears at the bottom-right. If not, clear the cache and try again.
