If you run on Jobber, every enquiry with buying intent becomes a client + request in your Jobber, and your clients check, move or cancel their appointments from the chat. How to connect it from your dashboard or from Jobber’s App Marketplace, what it does and what it doesn’t.
On the Pro and E-commerce plans your chatbot works with Jobber: every enquiry with buying intent becomes a client + request inside your Jobber, and your existing clients can check, move or cancel their appointments from the chat. You connect it yourself from your dashboard, with Jobber's official button, in a couple of minutes.
Before you start
The Pro or E-commerce plan. If you are on Free or Basic, you can change it from Billing in your dashboard. The 14-day trial counts.
A Jobber account where you can authorise apps (usually the administrator's).
No API keys to copy, no settings to touch: it is Jobber's official authorisation (OAuth). We never see your password.
Step 1 · Connect Jobber from your dashboard
In ChatME, open Jobber in the sidebar and click Connect Jobber. We take you to Jobber, you sign in if needed and approve the permissions you see on its screen: clients and requests (Clients + Requests). Nothing else — no invoices, no payments, no other account data.
When you are done you come straight back to your dashboard, and the section reads Connected to Jobber, with your account name.
If you start from Jobber's App Marketplace
You can also start on Jobber's side: in its App Marketplace, find ChatME and click Connect. Jobber asks you to authorise and sends you to ChatME.
If you already have an account, sign in. If not, create one (on the Pro or E-commerce plan).
Your dashboard shows a notice with your Jobber account's name. Open Jobber and click Connect this account.
That confirmation is deliberate: nobody can attach a Jobber account to your chatbot without you reading its name and approving it. You have a day, and the notice follows you: authorise on your computer and sign in from your phone, and it is there too. After that, connect from the dashboard with Connect Jobber, as in step 1.
Step 2 · Try it
Open your assistant (on Overview, "Try it") and write as a customer with buying intent would, with a name and contact details:
*"Hi, I'd like a quote for repainting the fence and fixing a leaking tap. My name is Jane Tester, email jane@example.com, phone 600 000 000."*
The assistant confirms it has saved your details. In Jobber, under Clients, the client Jane Tester appears with Lead source: ChatME, and in the requests list a Request with what they asked for.
What it does
New leads. When a visitor asks for a quote, a visit or to be contacted, the assistant collects their name, contact details and what they need, and creates the client and the request in your Jobber. If the email already exists in your Jobber, it reuses that record instead of duplicating it. If the visitor agrees a day and time for the visit, it leaves it scheduled as an assessment inside the same request.
Your clients' appointments. A client who is already in your Jobber can check their upcoming appointments, move or cancel them from the chat. First they verify with the email and the phone on their record: both must match, one alone is not enough. Every change lands in your Jobber immediately and the assistant leaves a note on the appointment for your team.
Activity log. The Jobber section of your dashboard shows what the assistant did: quotes saved, appointments moved and cancelled. Jobber stays the source of truth.
Replies in each person's language and identifies itself as an AI in its first reply, as the EU AI Act requires.
What it does not do
It does not quote prices from Jobber: you quote, in Jobber, as always. Anything it says about prices comes from your knowledge base.
It does not read free slots in your Jobber schedule (Jobber does not expose them): the visit date it agrees with a visitor is a proposal you confirm when you schedule the request.
It does not take payments or touch invoices.
It does not let one client see another's appointments: without a matching email and phone there is no access, and each verification is scoped to that record.
Jobber and Google Calendar
They are separate systems and the assistant never mixes them. You can have both connected, but if you run on Jobber we recommend not using Google Calendar for appointments: it avoids double work. With both active the rules are fixed: quotes and requests go to Jobber; booking a specific time in your agenda goes to the calendar; checking, moving or cancelling appointments only touches Jobber's.
One thing worth checking: the timezone
The assistant states and schedules times in your chatbot's timezone (Behaviour → timezone). If your business is not in Europe/Madrid, set it before you start; otherwise appointments will be spoken in a time that is not yours.
If something doesn't work
The Jobber section says "Reconnection needed" → the authorisation expired or was revoked from Jobber. Click Reconnect Jobber and authorise again.
You disconnected ChatME from Jobber (Settings → Apps) → ChatME notices and removes the connection on its side. Connect again whenever you like.
The assistant creates no leads → check the Jobber section is green and your plan is Pro or E-commerce. And that the visitor gave a name and at least one contact detail: without those there is no client to create.
A client cannot see their appointment → the email and the phone must match their Jobber record exactly. The assistant does not say which one failed, on purpose.
There is a pending Jobber notice in your dashboard you no longer want → in the Jobber section, "Not now".
How to disconnect
From the Jobber section of your dashboard, with the Disconnect button. You can also do it from Jobber (Settings → Apps → ChatME): both sides stay in sync. The clients and requests already in your Jobber stay there.
