On the Pro and E-commerce plans, your assistant also handles your business's Telegram: someone writes to your Telegram bot and the assistant replies straight away, 24/7, with the same knowledge it already uses on your website, on WhatsApp, on Instagram and on Messenger. You make the connection yourself from your dashboard, and it takes a couple of minutes — with no approval in the way.
Two things, and both are free.
yourbusiness_bot). BotFather hands you a token: one long line with a colon in the middle. Copy the whole thing. If you already have a bot, the token is in @BotFather: /mybots → your bot → API Token.
You need nothing else. No paid account, no business verification, and Telegram reviews or approves nothing.
In ChatME, open Telegram from the sidebar. You'll see the "Connect your business's bot" card with the three steps and a field for the token.
Paste the token into the field and press Connect Telegram. We check with Telegram that the token is valid, link your bot to ChatME, and the section switches to Telegram connected, with your bot's name (@yourbusiness_bot) and its link.
If something fails, the dashboard tells you exactly what happened (an incomplete token, a bot that is already connected to another assistant…) and you can try again whenever you like. Nothing is left half done.
The token is a key: it gives full control of the bot. We store it encrypted and never show it. If you shared it by mistake, regenerate it in @BotFather (/mybots → API Token → Revoke) and connect again with the new one.
Open your bot on your phone — the t.me/yourbusiness_bot link is shown in the Telegram section — and tap Start. The assistant greets you with your welcome message (the same one your website widget uses) and identifies itself as an AI. Ask it something: it replies in seconds.
The conversation appears under Conversations in your dashboard, tagged "Telegram", next to your website, WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger ones.
Your bot is a Telegram contact of its own, with its name and its link. Share that link wherever you want people to write to you: on your website, in your Instagram bio, on your Google listing or on a QR in the shop. Whoever opens it taps "Start" and is already talking to your assistant.
The assistant never writes to anyone first and never sends promotions: it only replies to people who write to you.
The assistant reads text messages, which is what people write in practically every case.
In your dashboard, under Conversations. It is a Telegram limitation for bots: a bot's conversations are only visible through its API — that is, in ChatME — not in the Telegram app on your phone. That is why, on this channel, you cannot jump in from your phone mid-conversation with the bot: the assistant always answers, and what your customers say to it is in your dashboard.
Your personal Telegram account does not change at all: the messages that reach it are still yours to answer.
Nothing per message. Telegram charges nothing for messages — not the business, not the customer — and the channel is included on the Pro and E-commerce plans.

If you regenerated it, the old one no longer works: use the new one. From the Telegram section of your dashboard, with the Disconnect button: we release your bot (Telegram stops sending us anything) and delete the token. You can also revoke the token in @BotFather at any time, and ChatME loses access instantly. Your bot and your messages remain yours either way.
If you want us to delete the messages we have stored from a specific conversation, write to info@chatme.es and we will.
